Camber kit?

I am going to finally take the plunge and get progress springs with GR2's all around... For those of you with this setup, did you get a camber kit? If not, have you noticed any ill effects on the tire wear? Thanks in advance....

I have Progress, an the camber is fine. It is slightly negative, which is a good balance between tire wear and performance.

I have the same exact set-up and was worried about the same thing at first. You should ride around on them for a couple of weeks to let them "settle in," and then just get an alignment done, which is what I did. My tire wear is very even, from what I can see.

I was personally involved in the development of the Progress springs, and the camber was measured. I seem to remember it being about 1 to 1.5 degrees negative which is good for street driving, and not bad for tire wear.

I just had my alignment done with gr2/progress. It was done on a laser guided machine. The machine wanted it to be at -1.8 rear, but the max maxed out at -1.2 rear. I may be a little off on those figures. The front aligned to specs.

The tech told me that I will definitely have uneven wear on the rear and that I should rotate my tires every 1000 miles. I hope he is over exaggerating.

I think the tech is a and possibly didn't want to finish the job and/or the rear did not want to align properly

maybe...lol

I know when i had eibachs on the best the tech could do on my rear aligntment was -0.5, the front wasnt a problem getting into specs. But from what he told me, even without lowering springs, the rear is very hard to get within spec because the way they designed a certain part of the rear suspension, or something along those lines. But its not so bad its gonna make you tread wear all uneven. From all the info ive gathered on lowering springs/strut combos and what not, you really dont need a camber kit. When you start putting coilovers on your car, thats when you need to worry about finding a camber kit.

I've been on progress for about 2yrs now. I just picked up a camber kit, my tech says he would like a little more adjustment because my car tends to pull to the passenger side. Tire wear has not ever been an issue though.

How much was your kit and where did you get it? I want to drop my suspension lower and the camber will be out of adjustment.

I bought it from Cattman.....Had it for about 5month just sitting in my trunk. Now that I have my car back, I am finally going to get it installed. I forget how much I paid. I'll check my paypal history and see if I can find it.

No dice, I must have paid some other way. I am thinking $25 or $45. Sorry I don't remember

i kno alot of ppl are riding without it, and are doin just fine... but im only doin some research to see if its really important!

It's only important if you tech runs out of adjustment on your alignment and your tires are wearing excessively. In my case the car pulls a little to the passenger side after the aligment, he requested a camber kit, so I got one for the next alignment.
