the right shocks / struts?

online about to purchase shocks/struts. found a site called car-stuff.com

They have the front KYB Gr-2s listed as $61 a piece. but than they have other GR2s listed as $69 a piece. this is REALLY confusing. :/
and the rear shocks (also kyb gr2) as $45 a piece. That sound right?
So the rear doesnt have a left/right? Looks like the front, you have to buy a right and a left. I guess for shocks it doesn;t matter. sorry, new to the whole suspension thing.

And looks like Ill be going with eibach springs..drops the front a LITTLE MORE which i want (compared to progress) and they are easier to get. cant find an in stock store on progress springs. Nobody has had probs with eibachs? I thought I saw a thread on some weird noise or something..

The prices you listed are about right. The rear shocks are symetrical (same).
The fronts because of the flange that the front sway bar attaches to are indeed left and right.

Progress should be very easy to obtain. Plus they come with new shorter bumpstops from Cattman. You can also get a exceptional deal if you purchase everything at once (about $350).

I don't know if it's been resolved but a lot of people have had problems with noises and even in some cases a non-even drop with the Eibachs. For the price of Eibachs you can get new GR2 shocks and Progress springs. On the plus side Eibachs are suppose to have better ride characteristics.

I just bought progress springs with KYB GR2's all around from Cattman. I called him Friday, and he says they will be at my door this Friday (I called late, so he couldn't ship them out until Monday). Anyway, it was $370 plus shipping, which was $55. He has all of those parts in stock. CALL HIM. He is awesome to work with...

]I have Eibachs on original shocks...I prefer the handling of the original shocks although the GR2's are supposed to be a softer and slightly smoother ride.

Springs/struts install

I just got my Progress springs and GR2s today from Cattman. Now I just need to find a good place in San Diego to get them installed. Anyone know of such a place?

Ive checked a lot of places and the driveway of your house is by far the cheapest.... expect to pay anywhere from $150-500 depending on where you go. There are people out there that will rape you. But I dunno, you may find it cheaper. They are not that bad to tackle if you have a friend that is mechanically inclined and a spring compressor (dont do it without this, regardless of how many people say they have done it without spring compressors).

If I remember correctly Catman has/had a deal where you get struts, shocks, springs and a sway bar for $495 shipped. I am not sure if he is still running it but maybe its not too late to call.

What do we have in the rear, shocks or struts? What ever they are, mine are squeeling when going over bumps. The other day I had 3 people sitting in the back seat and I thought my rear suspension was going to break. It felt like the shocks in the back couldnt support the weight.

We have shocks in the rears & struts in the fronts.

I suggest a pair of KYB GR2's for the rears. They should be perfect for you situation ($85 Shipped) <--cheap.
