Weird Happening-Low Tire Pressure message

The symbol came on for no apparent reason. I rechecked all 4 tires....they read 32-36 PSI. Turned it ignition on and off several times but the tire symbol still apeared. After a cold start this morning, the symbol did not appear.
I guess these cars' computers have minds of their own.

The TPMS sensor likes the tire pressure to be 35 and not much below. Dropping outside temperatures at this time of the year will likely be reflected in lower pressures in your tires. My gauge went on the other day on our first cool autums day, and after returning the cold pressure to 35 psi, immediately went off.

Thanks for the replies. I set the cold pressure to 36PSI so that should keep the tire pressure monitors happy!!!!
I am familiar with the Corvette TPM system which alerts you when pressure is
<25 or >40 so there is some leeway.

tpms

as per the service manual, the TPMS light will go on if a tire is at 28psi or less. Then, you must refill back to 35psi for light to go off.
