08 stock bi-xenon projectors

On the Nissan site it says that the 08 SE and SL models offer Bi-xenon projectors as part of a package is this correct? When do you 08 owner's use your hi-beams? I'm deciding between a 08 Impreza WRX sedan and a 07-08 Max SE, one of my main requirements is that is has to have HID's because visibility is my main concern since I drive at night. With that being said I'm leaning towards the Max since the WRX sedan doesn't have HID's. How much did you guys pay for the 08?

no, no, no. I'm just stating when everyone else uses their high-beams! lol

And yes, all Maxima's that are equipped with HID's from FACTORY have bi-xenon's...at least to my knowledge.

Even my 4th gen comes with bixenons.

Get the one that actually comes with a manual, then add bixenons yourself.

"you 08 owners"

where??

not sure what you're asking, but the 6th gen has a single projection bulb. when you flip to high beam, a shutter uncovers half of the light and the same bulb is used.

I use my high beams on back roads at night

besides I dont know if its just me, but high beams dont do that much on our projectors, unless you want to illuminate anything in front of you thats at a height of 20ft or more.

Where do you get replacement bulbs for HID maxima????

Do you have to buy them from the dealership? Are they easy to find, like 9004 bulbs in all auto stores, etc???

Thx

If you want to put it that way then I guess. But I just love the luxury look of the maxima, but since I'll be keeping the car for a very long time I wanted to go the HID route because of the amazing light output.

How much shorter is the life of the HID bulb if you flash them or turn them of and on repeatedly?

flashing (if off) and toggling does shorten the life of the HID bulb. how much really depends on how often/much you use them and toggle them. they are covered under 3 year warranty.

stock color is WHITE. any "color" means less light output. but due to the shutter, they look blue at some angles. the "colors" you see are cheap versions trying to mimic this.

How much do they cost each?

Thx

Also, can you convert the fog lights or day time lights with HID for a kickass effect, or it's not recommended?

Very interesting indeed. I haven't blown any, but I've heard the usual cost concerns if/when blown. I haven't heard of anyone blowing them and then coming in here talking of how Nissan covered it.

That would be cool. I wonder what the life expectancy is of these beauties?!
