Why Mod a Maxima?
Why Mod a Maxima?
Wondering why many of you on here mod your Maxima to make it faster when for about the same money that you paid could have bought something like a 2006, or 2007 Dodge Charger RT, or SRT8 which really screams performance. Actually if you count what your paying for in mods then the Charger is cheaper, and still faster then your car stock.

jeez, so many of your "type" lately.
Let's just re-word the question to "why don't we all buy Honda Civic hatch-backs, swap a built K24 in it and call it a 10 second day for 10g?"

I'm keeping mine completely stock, so I'm not concerned about performance. Only thing I have considered is the oem 2004-2006 spoiler which really isn't an add on since it comes stock on some cars, and tint. Changed mind about tint because it messes up the FM reception, and if you ever take the tint off it will probably mess the antenna, and defroster lines. Not crazy about the drilling of holes in the trunk either, so spoiler I decided not to get as well.
I didn't buy an LS1 because GM cars aren't very reliable. My previous car broke down all the time had lots of repair bills. I also hated having no interior room, no trunk space, rough ride, cheap plastic interior parts, and very uncomfortable seats. I'm hoping this car is more reliable being a Nissan. Bought this car more for comfort, better ride, 4 doors, luxury aspect, and I liked the body style with 18 inch wheels.

Why buy a house and put money into making it your own when you could have just as easily bought a more expensive house that already had everything you wanted to change?
It's about making your car...YOUR car.

LOL Touche' .. I hate when domestics with a V6 option have the Dual exaust cut out and only one tail pipe ... pet pieve #1 .. nice one bro
I noticed that today when I saw one going home from work on the freeway. Geez, it looks retarded.
The Maxima is better looking and more reliable than a Dodge, and actually performs very well with no modding (I haven't modded mine).
But if someone chooses to go to the expense and effort to do modding, it is much wiser to do it on a good-looking and reliable car (Maxima) than on some obscure something that might not make it out of the driveway (Dodge).
