Changing a brake light 2004 Maxima?

I looked in the sticky under specs and info to see if someone could tell me how to change a brake light bulb. Some threads led no where and I couldn't find any info?

Any help would be appreciated....I assume you change it from the inside of the truck but the liner has to be removed?

Thanks

If its anything like the 07 you pull back the liner( take the plastic push plugs out), loosen the 3 nuts and pull the whole light out to get at the bulbs I believe.

I thought owner's manuels have like a DYI section that includes changing the bulbs and stuff.

Yes, you remove the liner in the trunk and remove the screws (not sure if its 3 though). 5 minute fix.

It's a very user hostile design. See my post from a few months ago (9-15-2007).

be very carefull when removing the brake light. The surrounding painted parts are plastic and will brake or crack if you are not cautious. Id suggest using a pannel pop, but that may not work for everyone if you are not sure how much pressure you use. upgrade your reverse bulbs while you are at it (BRIGHTER) try V-leds on ebay to get them.

FTR follow the instructions at the top of the stickies, and then they will work.
with the entire forum revamp, to see old links: change "showthread" to "oldthread" in your address bar after clicking the link.

I have a "how to" in there with pics...
