a black 6th gen with the rear center console and the burnt orange leather.... with a 6 speed??

I've seen 1 in the last year of looking!

 

im surprised there is even one like that. i never heard of that combo

 

now that I think about it, it might have been an automatic.... but at any rate, it was black, burnt orange leather, and rear center console with the captain seats.

Rear center console and captains seats are otherwise known as the Elite package. Effin sweet if you ask me.

 

did the orange exterior come with the orange "elite" package?

wow... makes me wonder how much my car will sell for when i upgrade to an M...

if that one sold for 18 w/ nav and elite and leather... hell mine would go for 10 LOL

 

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think you could only get the orange interior with the elite package. I personally love that color combo but stayed away from the elite package all together because I like having the 5th seat for those rare occasions i have people in my car. I also think its a harder resell as other's prob think as I do... some even use maxima's as family cars. Kind of like the 6 speed, harder to find and can be harder to sell because its a specific market.

it really should make anyone thinkg how much u will get back and the mileage on that car is great also. i have a 05 and just drive it to skool, work and back home and i have just over 23xxx.

 

this is going to be hard to find..... and the other one i saw went for $16k!!!

THe elite package was not worth the extra dough IMO. When I bought my car new they had about a dozen 6th gens on the lot for purchase and not one of them was an elite. I didnt want to wait and I wanted a black max with black interior but settled for black on frost instead. C&D said to steer clear of the 6sp bc its been proven to have little if no benifit over the 5sp auti in terms of performance.

 

Seen one in 2005 at the RedLineMax Northeast Maxima meet in Jersery, dude waited 8 MONTHS!!! for the car to come in, elite 6 spd with LSD. The car was bada$$ looking with those colors and combo...

 

i just bought a maxima elite with 69k miles on it with warranty and great condition for 12500 because the dealer had it for months and couldnt get rid of it

 

Would it be possibly to upgrade a SE to have Captain seats in the back? I also agree with you guys, that burnt orange is amazing.

This is a bump from a few months but umm I got the the package Minus the 6spd


Its hard enough finding a elite ,but finding one in a junk yard to get the parts.
Only thing with the Elite is the rear seats dont fold down

There is one down the street from my parents house. The guy that owns it does not take care of it at all. All the paint is oxidized on the roof and hood. Rubs his rims all over the curbs when he parks it on the street, just horrible to watch.

i actually bought a maxima elite monday its great i love it, and its a 6 speed, dark blue color with black leather and suede

 

Oh yeah, you got that right but after living in Japan for 12 years I have nothing but respect for car modding in Japan, damn some of those dudes would put us to shame, but then again others you would definitely laugh your *** off. I left the US for Japan in 1990 as a Chevy owner and fan (still am) but came back a Nissan Biatch!!!


Most of the VIP shows and rides I saw were pretty damn HOOOTTTT!!!

 

yeah its pretty insane how their world of imports is so much ahead of the US.

And its funny how they preceived USDM as imports to them.

 

I have the Elite Package - burnt orange with 6 spd. I don't know of anyone with the same.

If performance is only the "off the line capability," this is possibly correct. But there is more to performance than that. Look at the number of threads in the 6th Gen about problems with the auto trannies. Too numerous to count. I think there has been one thread about clutch problems with the 6 speed. The 6-speed is just a more dependable trannie -- and it lets you pick which gear you want to operate in at any given time -- no computer making decisions for you. (I know that most auto trannies allow you to pick the gear, too. But there are built-in controls that still restrict whether the trannie will go to that gear or not).

Nissan made a mistake by not continuing to carry the 6-speed in the 7th generation, so I will be driving something else besides a Maxima when it comes time to replace my 04.

 

The 07 altima came with a 6sp I beleive there is one on youtube, I myself just converted to elite package...
