Pics of max

Hey I got the pics of my max with her new wheels. I have since tinted the windows, I will update when the sun comes back out. I still need to lower the rear, I will probably do it today.

Looking good. Did you lower the car? The wheel gaps look bigger than they ought to be...... I would also consider installing an 07 spoiler

I lowered the front with Progress springs and KYB GR2 shocks but the back is stock. I will lower the rear this weekend.

Your rear is awkwardly high for stock....and your front doesn't looked dropped at all. Looks good though

I'm in Virginia Beach, down the street from Oceana Naval base. I'm actually stationed in Norfolk, VA.

The front is dropped on Progress springs, I think the installer failed to cut the bump stop so it is not as low as it could be but I like it. Sometimes I scrape the way it is now so any lower would not be comfortable to me. I still need to install the rear drop springs. I had a VW Jetta slammed to the ground and the ride quality was horrible but it handled great. I do not want to go there again, I like the ride now, any lower or stiffer will be uncomfortable for me as a daily driver.

Looks good.

Cutting the bump stops will not change your ride height at all, it will only make your car less prone to "bottoming out" over big bumps.

The tires are 245/40/19 so the rear looked lower on my stock 18" due to the aspect ratio of the tires (245/45/18). I kinda wish I would have got the 45 aspect ratios, the reason I didn't was the speedo would be off a lot and I wanted to stay as close as I could to original radius of the stock wheels and tires.

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

I was there when the installer swapped out my stock suspension, he gave me the original springs back, the original struts were leaking.

I would like to see your car!! In VA you don't get breaks, especially if your are military, there are to many of us here to get a break.

Great Job shipmate... (retired LDO LT 6160)

To bad you're in VA that car would look awesome with 35% tint all around, dark enough to look great, clear enough to drive safe...

They look sick, are 19" and fit a BBK behind it. They are not gray, they are gunmetal. Never looked back at those heavy suckers (HPs), not to mention the MPG improvement, much lighter take offs and better response.....all the goodies that come with lighter rims. Heavy rims are like anchors holding your car. Besides I had a great deal...ahm steal. I don't think anyone on this forum will pass a practically new set of NISMOS for less than ..... just trust me.

Are HP's really that heavy, I haven't noticed a change in my MPG, and I really monitor my driving. My daily commute is over 50 miles round trip, I didn't go with chrome because of the added weight. I do like the NISMO rims, they just cost to much for me.

I had 18x8 and 18x9 in the rear so the weight was on par (rear heavier) with OEM which is heavy by any standards. My 19" rims are around 20Lbs each.

No doubt, they look awesome and I love "lippy" rims but hey, I never looked back after switching to NISMOs. Besides, with "staggered" setup I couldn't even rotate, which wasn't really working for me at all.
