NIsmo Short Shift Adapter

Got this a couple of days ago and finally got around to installing it. Took about 30 min to install on the transmission and on the shifter shaft in the cabin. Overall, I'd recommend this mod because the overall feel was much better, shifting into gear was much crisper and accurate. Took a little bit to get used to but now its all good.

FYI: the nice thing about the Nismo one is that it doesn't matter if you have the 55mm or 67mm bell housing shaft because this one accommodates either or.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like it's worth the money.

Can you please tell me if this mod makes the shifting stiffer or not?
Also i would like to know if the second part under the boot eliminates any rattling noises comming from the shifter when switching gears...? You know what i mean?

Thanks!!!

brio_max - the shifting is much more crisper. it is a little [very little] stiffness, but the accuracy of the shifting is MUCH better. i never had any rattle so i dont know, sorry.

shiftvq35 - came straight from nissan, the pt# is also posted in the pic. also check out dues's link and compare

winterfaust, so its not a nissan part? i bought it straight from nissan. it works very well and the nice thing is it doesn't matter whether you hvae the 55mm or the 67 mm; this works for both unlike the AT one.

Installed the STS today and i have to say this mod is great! Shifting is like 50% shorter then before = more fun Yeah i know it's pricey($200 shipped), but definetely worth the money.

Thanks eK9aT10pSi for the thread/tip!

There is a mod to make the shift rod shorter by about 3/4". It is located in the 5th gen forum. Basically, you cut the shift rod and re-weld it. You also have to cut the reverse lock out rod and reglue it.
