Tires balding rapidly

I haven't been around for a while. My question is...I'm trying to figure out why my rear tires are balding extremey fast. I notice when I get out of my car that the back bumber has what appears to burned tire residue. My rear wheels both go bald evenly. I just put these tires on the car about a month ago Brand new. I have 20in. wheels. I thinking it's the rear struts. I will admit that much trunk was carrying a lot of weight. I removed all of the stuff from it. If it is the rear strut it doesn't look hard to replace them. If anyone has detailed info on changing let me know. I just don't want a surprise.

I would start struts as others have said. I think for sure you are rubbing if it was just an aliment issue you wouldn't bald that fast and see particles on the car.

maybe your max thinks its a Rear Wheel Drive

but nah, it's probably one of the things that people above have said. I would lean more towards rubbing, because that just seems logical and goes with your statement of saying theres residue on the panel.

Sorry for the dumb question but wht do you mean by rubbing? I'm leaning away from the alignment but, I'm still going to have it checked. I have had alignment probs b4 but I have never seen tires bald like this from an alignment. The tires were brand new almost 4 weeks ago. What causes rubbing?

Rubbing refers to the tires actually touching the inside of your wheel well. this is a problem that people have to look out for when they're lowered and are running wider than stock wheels/tires

wouldn't that show wear only on the middle?

drive once with no music. when you hit bumps and quick turns you will probably hear the rubbing. my 20s rub since flush in the rear, and I'm not lowered. you need stiffer shocks.

I can't yet post an original post as im still a newb, but this post pertains to my issue. I wanted you brothers help on picking a set of good quality yet inexpensive tires. I got the 6th gen 2006. I'm approaching 40K miles and one of the floor generals at nissan said its coming close to about time. I have the standard good year set i believe that comes with the se 2006 model. I thought a set of tires suppose to at least last 50k miles especially if racing/burning rubber isn't majorly involved.. All of my guys are saying I really dont need em yet,but of course they are not professionals. But then again, I'm not oblivious to what people in big corporations will do to make extra money off us 'little people'. The penny test doesn't work since they are performance tires anyway.

So my question is, for our cars, what are the true give aways that we need new tires and if so, where can I find a good brand that'll last but will possibly cost less than 1k to put on my car?

Thanks in advanece guys...

I have a set of Falken Ziex ze-912 in my basement waiting for the Goodyear's wear out. They are decent and not too hard on the pocket book. Might be an option of you to consider. Good luck.

Maybe check in the tire/wheel section? Lots of info there.
