It depends on the risk ones willing to take, I have a backup SUV but not all Max owners have a backup vehicle. I've taken risks with being the first on some of these mods, not sure if others want too so with that said, No comment!!!

Your headers are giving you a MAF error? Nmex could chip in here, I think he's the residents VQ MAF expert.

Not yet, but if Cattman cant make em, then i may consider it with cams. Actually, Id prolly pull the motor and install headers, cams, and lightweight flywheel for about 50hp

I agree with ya but I rather buy them from Cattman since he is established and 10x more reliable...

Thats why I rather help him get what he needs and I am having no luck whatsoever

I'm about the ebay headers. Make sure you dyno before and after, otherwise we'll have no idea the hp we'll be making. I will probably use the SAFC, but is it not true that it either A. doesn't work on 6th gens or B. our car learns around it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm seem to distantly remember 7483 threads on that issue that weren't ever really resolved.

Is the only thing wrong with the CEL light being on being the fact that it's annoying? Otherwise I could care less about the CEL.

However, isn't the installation of headers quite expensive? (like 500 bucks). I recall throwing numbers around originally when Catman was talking about his design and realizing this was going to be quite expensive.

That's why the ebay headers make sense to me.

lol, probably feeling left out like you did back then. crap, suks having newer models and nowhere to go to get a faster, cleaner looking car. doesn't look like cattman is going to make headers for a good long while, either. is there headers out there that could be used? 06 altima won't, pretty sure.

What sucks the most is the wait, I personally would wait for the Cattman. Brians stuff is top notch, but yes I would hope he could speed it up a notch since there is so much interest right now...

I wish too but he is having a hard time finding these parts?

Has anyone had any joy in helping him?

My options are getting lower and lower..

I found one Max but it was basically a shell at this point here on LI.

Update

I talked to Brian today, via e-mail... he said he's still 8-10 weeks out on the headers. Due to delays... I imagine these are still the same delays...

just thought i'd inform everyone.

I wonder if Brian has considered www.car-part.com? Also, there are not 5 O2 sensors, there are 4, 2 in each manifold, and 1 EGR (external) port that resembles an O2 sensor port.

The forum will let you, you just don't know how. Instead of typing askhaskfh, right click the image and post it there, basically wrap it in those tags,

Post them on your cardomain, then post them on here. Like this:

Grim...i bought some ebay headers and tried to install them...I had fitment issues with the rear exhaust manifold and there was no egr bung either...
The Rear manifold isnt bent exactly right so it rests on the rear motor mount which keeps it from seating all the way.

hmmm thats the same problem i had when i installed my ebay headers, and also you have to shave the y pipe a little cause it touches the starter, but other then that their pretty good for the price

Thats the issue with Ebay performance parts...
But I give you mad credit for the risk...

But did you actually get it installed correctly or still having these issues?

If so... any gains noticed?

Does the car default to "open loop" or "rich" air fuel mixture when the CEL is on?

Depends on the code the CEL is calling out.

No...i Pulled them off and put the OEM headers back on...I know i could make them fit though if i either cut away some of the motor mount(which i dont want to do) or i could try to reshape the one runner on the header(another thing i dont really want to do...)
