I'm currently riding on stock suspension and I have a set of JIC VIP coilovers sitting on my shelf, but I have decided that I want to try a non-coiover option in an effort to provide myself and others better feedback.

My question is which non-coilover option would you most want me to try before the JIC VIPs.

Keep in mind that ACTIVE TUNING is no longer offering their koni/agx set-up.

 

The koni/KYB set from AT was not offered for the 07 Maxima. I dont think KYB GR-2's are offered for the 07 either. Only choice you have is just springs.

 

Part numbers for 04-06 and 07-08 stock suspension are the same.

 

Go with GR-2's all around with Progress springs.

The coil-overs you have are the ones that are adjustable via remote?

Not adjustable as sold, so I'm not sure if that is possible.

As to compatibility, Dave at active tuning told me that did not have 07-08 listed on their page because they had not tested them on 6.5 generation yet.

You'll notice JIC has 06-08 A34, but that does not necessarily mean they have tested on 6.5.
