NEW WHEELS HELP WANTED

Hi ! I am ordering a new set of 18" wheels from KONIG..."HEAT SINKS" They are available in 18 x 8 and 18 x 7.5....also anyone know if there is an offset and what it should be....Also are spacers required....this is a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. I was wondering which size I should get...I am purchasing 4 new summer tires: Riken Raptors ZR 245-45/18...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Riken are made by Michelin in Canada and are great value for the money.
Konig and Riken are easily googled.

I dont have a awnser to your ? but I wanted to add that if your going for wheels for a 6th gen try going a little higher then 18" maybe just 19 or above becuase the 18"s dont fit the wheel well really nicely. you might just buy new wheels and end up not liking them and change them after a few weeks (Like someone recently did on the org)

Factory wheels are 18 X 7.5 at about +40mm offset.

There are both adavantages and disadvantages to 7.5 inch wide wheels as oppose to 8 inch wide wheels.

The main disadvantage of 8 inch wheels is they are slightly heavier. The main disadvantage to 7.5 inch wheels is they don't accomadate as wide a tire as the 8 inch wide wheel does. For your purposes considering your tire choice both versions would work fine.

You don't need spacers. Personally I believe the the 8 inch wide wheels with a +30mm offset will give it a nice stance. Any offset obetween +30mm and +42mm should fit.

Wow Coolmax thanks! I didn't expect an answer back so fast...did you check out (google) the Konig HEATSINK Rims and the Riken Raptor ZR 18's yet?

Let me know what you think....

The reason I'm sticking with 18's is that my car is already lowered with Eibach Prokit 1's and plus after the pot hole season in two weeks I'm installing the shorter KYB GR2's in the front.

MODSTrrenz Grille, Silver Tinted windows, AEM CAI, Stillen FSTB, Stillen RST, Eibach Prokit 1, Oversized Front Vented cross-drilled Cadmium Plated Disks, Rear Vented Camium plated Disks, Hawk HPS Pads, Trenz Grille w/Nissan Japan custom Emblem, Nismo oil Cap, Stillen Battery Tie down, Unorthodox UDP, Custom Exhaust Cat back without resonator, Painted front/Rear Calipers, Video MP3 holder w/connector, PIA ION Yellow Fogs, etc...

FUTURE MODS

NWP Racing Thermal Spacers, SAFC, REAR SUB.

Personally, I'm not crazy about the wheel but it's all about what you think.

Also, because of the darker color of the spokes and the bright lip, the wheels are going to look very small on your car. Just ask my man "fastmax".

I would look for spokes that go all the way to the perimeter of the wheel to give your wheel a BIGGER look.

Regarding the tires-great price no doubt but the General Exclaim is rated much higher and is only about $100 more for the set. I will admit the Generals are not the prettiest tire in the world tho.

BTW The wheel you're looking at is at +40mm offset which equals stock.

I JUST BOUGHT MY WIFE AN '08 SE W/ 5 SPOKE CHROME WHEEL PACKAGE 18" X 7.5" +40 MM OFFSET FROM FACTORY...THESE ARE THE SAME SIZE AS THE FECTORY 7 SPOKE SILVER PAINTED WHEELS ON THE SE.....THE WHEELS LOOK OK, BUT DEFINATELY NOT WIDE ENOUGH.... I WANT TO TRY WHEEL SPACERS TO IMPROVE THE LOOK.... HOW WIDE WOULD ANYONE RECOMMEND AND CAN SOMEONE POST PICS OF THEIR CAR W/ SPCERS ON FACTORY RIMS....

I was looking into getting these http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Price

I called tire rack to get the offset specs. I was told they are 19X8 with a 45 mm offset. If 42 mm is suggested, will there be an issue with the given specs from tire rack? They said that was what their "in house" engineer suggests for the 2005 Maxima SL. Input needed! Thanks

Did you have to get your fenders rolled/trimmed to fit those rims+tires without rubbing?

I know that 20"s look good however in my city with the terrible roads and I don't mean just the pot holes...but the uneven pavement everywhere the ride would be too harsh. I would have to remove the Eibach lowering springs and go with a specail coil-over setup that is height adjustable for the winter wheels...which I have 4 seperate Michelin's X-ICE on their own steel rims with Hub Caps....They are 225/55/17's...oh and the ice, snow, mud and especially the salt would end up destroying those coil-overs! Also my car will run slower too. I'm also installing the NWP Racing thermal spacers in May. As you can see from the picture the car is already quite low...I have to install new shocks as my OEM's are finished! What a winter! I ordered the KYB GR2's.

Yes but the wide interior lip has a lot of I will however check out other rims this week. Enkei has the RP03 and RTX has the ATHENA adn AGENA.

I would like to thank everyone who offered their advice here! It is greatly appreciated! and don't be shy, if you know a RIM you would like to recommend I'm game.

THANX!
