Who tracks their 6th Gen maxima?

Many of us modify our Maximas, but few people actually take it to the track and compete, whether its drag racing, autocrossing or road racing. To my knowledge here is a list of people I know who track their 6th Gens:

1. Deus - autocross, high speed sutocross
2. Chern - drag racing
3. Kamski - road racing
4.
5.
6.

Feel free to copy and paste this list with your name and what track events you have entered your 6th Gen Maxima in.

i used to go to the skidpan in my R31 skyline and drag race that quite often,

when and if i do the suspention in the max i might see how it goes on the skid pan, ff sucks in the wet... but VDC can help it i suppose

Only ten For all these 6thgens with mods, that's not very many who make to a track. All drag racing except for two: Kamksi/Dueski Either of you gonna cross over and run them on the 1/4mi?

How about any of the 1/4mi guys gonna try some Autocross/Road (track)Racing? I know I'd like to try it but at the rate I do my mods, I won't be ready for a couple years.

I might cross over just to get some times, but I fond drag racing to be a let down since its over in like 14 seconds or so. Autocross goes for 1-3 minutes and roadracing can be up to 45 minutes in my experience - much better bang for the buck.

U dont need highly modifed cars to autocross - u can run a stock car, slightly modified or heavily modified if u like. Id suggest at least getting rims and good tires though.

After a summer of modding and new members joining..........are there any other 6th gen Maxima's to add to the list of tracked cars. (Drag or Autocross)
I think AllBlack and Ramberg should be on here too. Maybe they will chime in.

Im thinking about tracking mine more. I put my bronze rims back on and I think Im gonna use them for street and Ill use my RH Evo rims for track. They are lighter and wider and are all business!!

My racing equipment includes Recaro racing seats, Sparco harness and NRG harness bar.

Here are three vids of my first races. I lost the time slips, but I do remember my best time was 15.1 sec. That was with almost 60 lbs of subs in trunk plus spare. Without I should do better. I will go to the track tomorrow (1/8 mile) and record some runs and post.

These are 1/4 mile runs 1st race was againts an Impala SS, 2nd race againts Acura RSX, and 3rd race againts a Trans am. Lol I got smoked by him

You beat the Impala, I think they run a big v6 like ours, just not as strong. The new SS come with a 305hp V8. That would be a good race.

You took the Acura too. Nice. Just looking at your cars line up, I didn't know what to expect.

The Firebird- it was definitely not stock. Maybe supercharged or nitros.

What are your mods?

Turn the sound up and hold on to your seats, cuz here are my vids taken at the Lone Pine Time Trials last year:

And give my daughter huge credit for holding the camera pretty steady while strapped in the passenger seat and taking 1G turns!!

Nismo cold air and ground kit.
The Impala was a V8. The guy spun out on take off, but was almost catching up to me. The RSX was a close one, but like I said I had too much weight on me that day.

Firebird was just hilarious. Guy had some serious stuff in that engine
