After weighing the cost of getting my Mille Miglia EVo5 refininshed and painted at $140 each and a set of new 19" tires in the next 3 months at about $600. I decided to trade them in towards getting some news rims. These are my choices. I'm looking at $1420 mounter balanced w 3yr road hazard with my 19s and stock rims traded in.

Sport Edition KV5 20x8.5 with+45mm offset, weight 29.0lbs



Sport Tuning Flight Machined w/Anthracite accent 20x8 +38 mm offset, weight 28lbs



Sport Tuning Gunner 20x8.5 +40mm offset weight 32lbs

I would stick to the 18" if I were you unless you are living in a town with the smoothest roads. Your suspension will suffer, so will your axle...don't forget these are FWD (Front Wheel Drive) cars and you can easily bend your axle if you were to hit a pot hole with low profile tires...not to mention that in life your body is like a hard drive...it saves everything that you put in to it....so later in life you may end up with back problems too.
Also 19" replacement tires are expensive and the RIms are more expensive too. I just ordered 4 new rims myself. Konig Again 5 (5 bolt pattern) 18 x 8.0 with Riken Raptors 245/45/18...and I dare not go lower...I was very tempted to go 255/35 or 40 /18 but my mechanic friend and the tire dealer told me that I was nuts. The Rikens ZR rated too!
They are made in Canada by Michelin and cost around $500. Last year when I was looking for new tires and the Can $ was not at par with the US I could have spent easily$1500 Tax and Instalation on a set of 4 Falkens or Toyos...now with the money that I saved I can afford 4 new Rims too and I still save over last year! I pick up mine on Wednesday...can't wait...like a little kid under the Xmas tree! The Konig come in 2 colors and I chose the OPAL finish. You can google Konig Again 5 and Riken Raptor ZR and you'll have a good idea of what I'm talking about. Personally without seeing your car it would be a difficult choice but I like the middle ones with the black inserts...though try sticking with 17 or 18....The smaller the diameter the faster the car too.

 

I would go with the flight machined man- very nice looking, but performance and suspension wise.....ehhh.

 

oh, i just saw the 4th gen and wheel questions.

 

My bad. I just updated my sig after your post. There is a light weight version of the sport edition KV5 in 19" an weights 26.5lbs ($159/wheel) and the sport tuning flight which is 24.5lbs but at $11 less ($179/wheel). I thought these 20" rims were light compared to most 20" rims. My 19" Evo5 rims w tires weighed about 51lbs each.

#3 are TSW Nogaro knock offs, Id go with #1 or #3 which would look like this

 

Im more of a fan of the "Mesh" look...

but if i had to choooose one of those...

I ended up going with #1 in the 19inch size. They weigh only 26.5lbs. They're exactly like my Mille Miglia Evo5s but lighter. I'm trading those in at a local wheel and tire shop to get these along with my stock rims and tires. I would have done 20s but the ride was harsh enough with 19s and the streets in New Orleans are notorious, ven worse due to Katrina flooding streets and washing away foundation on several busy streets.

 

Make sure you get 40's series because 245/35/19 ride like crap on a 6gen
