Nismo S-Tune Sway Bars Installed [24mm(F) & 27mm(R)]

Just wanted to post some quick pics of my
Nismo Sway Bars being installed @ home
in the garage. Finally, I've built-up my tool
collection @ home including a New Powerful
Air Compressor, which makes a lot of these
projects/mods much easier to complete.
Now, I have to purchase a Custom Y-Pipe
as well after viewing the O.E.M one up close.

The car feel 100% better now then it did with the O.E.M Sway bars.
I didn't get a chance to really experience the Front SE-R Sway
Bar & Progress RSB like I wanted to. Basically, because I received
the best deal every on a set of Nismo Sway Bars off eBay. Brand
new in the box and never touched from a independent seller for
$180.00. You can't find them cheaper then $230.00 anywhere,
so I jump on that opportunity immediately. OH! An the guy lives
like 20 minutes from me so the shipping fees where out the door
as well. We just met in mutual location for our exchange. Would
like to note that I had the Progress RSB with all the end link upgrades
and was very satisfied with the performance. But the thicker Nismo
Sway Bars feel so much better.

My understanding is that the Progress RSB and the SE-R bar are teh same thickness as Nismo bars.

Thanks, for the replies/comments guys & gals.
Kenjii06! I'm running 2004-2006 Altima AG
Suspension Springs [2" F; 2" R] which have settled
extremely well with "NO RUB" . Sitting the ride @ over 2.25"
currently. Deus, your correct the Progress Rsb is 26.5mm
as well as the SE-R Rsb. That 0.5 difference between the
Nismo Vs Se-R or Progress is noticeable a lot. I been
researching the Rear Nismo Sway Bar for the 350z which
is adjustable and it looks like it can fit. But don't quote me
on that one quite yet, it hasn't been proven

Thanks guys! The ride feels absolutely spectacular, especially when hitting sharp turns @ a decent speed. I mean, it truly turns on a dime...... then it's like "SEE YA". An, the AG Suspension Springs feel fantastic as well haven't had one bad thing to say about them what-so-ever. If anyone is interested in the Nismo Sway Bars or the AG Suspension Springs I posted some info below. The AG Springs for the 2004-2006 Altima sell fast
so keep checking on eBay for a great deal.

MyNismo.com:
54600-RSL10 NISSAN ALTIMA 2002-2006 3.5 FR .9" (24mm) / RR 1.1" (27mm) $332.50

Thanks! I've applied tons of suspension mods alone with the AG Suspension Kit, which really help me capture better stability, quality, performance, etc... Especially @ the dropped level that I'm holding down with the maxima currently. An, for anyone who might be contemplating with the idea of upgrading there Sway Bars. Here's a suggestion "Just Do It" you'll be 100% satisfied with quality of your ride and have much more control behind the wheel.

Does the Nismo sway bar fit the 6.5 (2007-2008) maximas? I'm asking because us who have a 6.5 only have CVT.

Yes, they do fit the 6.5 Maximas.

I got mine installed a few weeks ago and I like 'em! Handling in turns is significantly improved with noticeably reduced body roll in my 2007 Maxima SE.

SER bar is a cheap and solid choice for a bar and it noticeably reduces lean.

thanks Desus, i actually got the idea from one of the fellas on nycmaximas.org, Eddymaxx. He said you were on of the pioneers with this, and i trust your judgement seeing you do track racing with your car... so i'm really looking forward to the imporved handling.

Would you recommend the sway bars even without having a set of aftermarket springs/shocks/struts?

Or would the priority be to get the GR2's with a set of springs first?

Yes there is nothing at all wrong with getting sway bras first. I got sway bars before getting better shocks/struts.

I agree, upgrading your anti-stabilizer(Sway)Bars first will be fine.
Just make sure that you have really good endlinks and bushings.
You know...so that it's utilized for great suspension stability.

Since the SE-R FSB has been brought up, maybe it is appropriate to ask if this is the right part #...

http://www.courtesyparts.com/54611-f...4033_4117_4119

and then the vqpower.com special seems like a decent deal on the progress RSB

Is the Nismo kit worth the price tag extra or only because of the ebay deal?

Will this part fit the Nissan Maxima 2004-2006 ? are some parts fit the maxima from the Altima?

FYI - If you are going to go with the SER FSB you will also need to order the correct bushings and mounting brackets ("Clamp - Stabilizer") as the OE ones won't fit the larger SER FSB.
