I had been getting some questions about what I had done to my bumper so I thought I would share in the experience.

1.07-08 Max fog light covers. $8 each
2. 3" to 2" rubber coupler from plumbing section $7 each
3. Auto door trim molding. $3 (not pictured yet)
4. Pair of Fogs from Checkers auto $32.
5. Demel (already purchased)
6. Mesh (left over from Grill mod)(not pictured yet)

BEAUTIFUL!!! Its basically what I want to do to the rear (mesh opening) except I have to make the cut out by hand. Ill check out Autozone for the door edge guard material to cover the edge after I make the cut out. In my online research I found someone else had done this too. Can you get some day time pics with the sun shining on the grill so its more visible. How much did the project cost?

I'll look for better pics.
I had spare mesh from doing my grill, an 18x42" powder coated gloss black piece cost about $70. The other items for the bumper was just over $60.
I tried looking for the trim product on autozone's website and couldn't find it.
I have some left in the garage, I'll see if they have a website.

Looks like it will be on the " To do list"

I think I found the door edge guard material:
http://www.midwayautosupply.com/pm-4...ome-t3805.aspx

It is available at Autozone but with no pic on the website:

It's kinda a u shape, they also carry an L shaped one I bought by accident.
There are 2 pieces per package 27" long each. It also has its own adhesive inside the U so you shouldn't need any type of glue for it.

Thanks for the comments guys.

The corner lights are as useful as curb feelers. Thats why I had to darken them out w/ bluebats overlays.

jsmithsole 05-24-2008 09:38 AM

Looks good, and breaks up the big "smilie" across the bottom...

jingiko 05-28-2008 08:45 AM

a DIY write up would be nice.
im interested on doing this project this weekend!

just what i wanted.
useful fogs

DeusExMaxima 05-28-2008 10:58 AM

Id like to see some GOOD daytime pics where you can see the mesh better. I know black cars are hard to photograph, but I wait til sun is lower in horizon and have it shining on the front.
