Shortened shifter for 6 speed Maximas

I came across this thread in the 5th Gen forum. The thread is for 6 speed Maximas for people who want a shorter shift rod. The guy cut out 1.75" of the shaft and rewelded it back together and even kept the reverse lockout.

I have the STS but the shortened shifter is PIMP.

this is pretty nice deus. but it is so hard to find the shifter of 6th gen. any ideas where to get them from?

i got mine from NYC2K2MaXx, he was going to convert to 6sp and decided against, so i picked up the extra. I was gonna do the same mod to my original and gauge the interest.
