got my switchbacks working again with the l.e.d taillights
for some of guys who had switchbacks on our cars and then got the led tails, our switchbacks didn't work. thnx to wildman04 i got my switchbacks working perfectly. you have to put 6 ohm load resistors into the HEADLIGHTS and spliced once side into the blue wire and the other side into the red with a black stripe wire. hope this helps

u get them from autolumination.com. click on 1157 bulbs and scroll down. u install these bulbs just like any other bulbs. and if ur installing switchbacks with regular bulbs all u need is 3ohm load resistors. there is a sticky on how u take out ur tailights and a thread already on how to install with pictures of installiation so u just need to search that up
also i have the 3 ohm load resistor available and i'll charge u 5 bucks + shipping

lol dude i asked a million questions 2 so no biggie. u need to go a lil more then half way down the screen. you will see a big circle with a eagle insdie. the title says introducing the switichback. and also they don't come in pairs...nothing on that website comes in pairs so u have to put how many u need. fiy i have the 30 led smt tower switchbacks there the newer ones and more blue then white but there bright and look sick.

Alright... i got the bulbs now. I hope they're not a b**ch to install.
Oh.. I don't have to do anything to headlight assembly, right? meaning the orange color in the side of the headlight or anything?

bdmaxima... I have the HID headlights on mine... stock HID, not aftermarker. Do I need the load equalizers? and what ohms would be good to use....
Hell... how the heck to you install the equalizers. I need to start learning to do these things. I've owned infinitis, lincolns, hondas.. lol and i'm still tryin to get the maxima stuff down.. i've only owned mine for a week.
Check out my other thread.. about the Corona nissan dealer lying.. let me know any advice..
Thanks

havin hid headlights doesn't make any difference or change anything. im not using the load equalizer, but if u look up jsmith thread on this he recommends them along with the led protectors.
u need 3ohm resistors if: u hav regular taillights and are just puttin the led switchbacks in the front....or if ur doin the switchbacks in the front also with led bulbs in ur taillights. u install these in ur taillights. there is a thread on a how to.
u need 6ohm if ur just doin switchbacks in the front. but with these u have to put them in ur headlight.

i hav a set of 3 ohms i used before laying around. they sell them on autolumination.com (place i got them from) for 9 bucks each so 18 total+shipping. i'll sell both of mine for the price of one. (9 bucks+shipping)

bdmaxima... I'll take them off your hand. How much for shipping?
Hilbe stole the words out of my mouth lool... It would help a lot of I can get a picture of the way you connected it so I can set up mine the same or similar. Besides, a picture speaks a thousand words, right? No hurry... we're not going anywhere.

Another hint, you dont need to remove your taillights to splice in the equalizers...you can do it right behind the carpet in the trunk, splice into the taillight harness.
#29
Ok so I put the switchbacks in the front... and the resistors in the back? Got it :-) even the bulbs site tells you what to splice into right underneath the picture of the bulb ... neat

here is a quick pic i took with the bumper on. and yes that is electrical tape i used. i used it just to hold the wires in place. because i forgot to mention these resistors to heat up. i didn't want them touchin any wires or anything so i hav them sittin in open space not touchin anything.
#35
if u look at the 1st pic and look past the black wire and red/black stripe wire u will see the other wire u need to splice, the blue. (look out for that black wire sticking out)
#36
Yesssssssssss I see it.. thanks bdmaxima.. I appreciate it. I'll put the switchbacks in the front like regular bulbs replacement and ill connect the 3 ohms resistors to the back tail lights... Im guessing it doesn't matter which side of the resistor i connect to what, right? good deal.
lol geez i sound like a high schooler that doesn't know jack. Sorry

oh srry dude i thought u meant how to install the resistors. but ya to install ur bulbs i would drop the bumper. its good to do because not only do u learn how to do it for the future but u won't have to squeeze the bulb out/in. heres the 2 links u can use:
