Service Engine Soon Light

I noticed my SES light was on during a 180 mile trip back home yesterday. I had gotten gas at a full service station and the gas cap wasn't put back on tight. Does anyone think that could have tripped the computer for the light to come on? If so, will the light go off by itself?

yes that could have caused it and could go off by itslef. Could always go to autozone and get it read for free.

IF the cap caused it, it should go off. I drove with my cap off and never got a light.

you should still have it read.
