Cheap Max Turbo

Has anyone else seen this on ebay? $409 for Turbo, piping and intercooler. Deal or Dud? And yes I know it doesn't come with everything you need.

I currently have this said kit . You get a turbo and piping so you are on your own to make everything else. Its not that bad but the turbo is way small for a 3.0 let alone a 3.5 so its not a complete kit.

don't buy it, intercooler isn't efficient, piping looks like piping but silicone connectors look really badly made and garbage, turbo looks like an ebay turbo but it will still boost just a question of how long?
I've seen many better ebay kits at a better price with better more use full stuff.
Cheap no name inter-coolers still work but that one is way to long and skinny to be of any use, it will just make you need 10+feet of pipe for no reason! Buy a dual port for like 100-150$ and get a kit that comes with one if ur getting a kit, usually the lines they come with are cheap and need to be replaced as well...
Anyways don't get that kit if ur going to get an ebay kit get a better one for the same price!

Not judging here but it sounds like you need to do some research before plunging into the FI maxima world. These arent the easiest cars to turbo.

+1, also to this date there is only one 6th gen turbo..And he went through a lot to get it done...Also, your sig says you have an 08 model..Which comes with the CVT transmission..no one has ever boosted a car with CVT..Many say the tranny can't handle the added power, not sure just telling you what I know...Good Luck, but trust me its going to cost atleast 5k..not $500.

Thanks for the turbo info. The 08 CVT does suck. Makes me wish I got an 04-06. You wouldn't believe how in control the CVT is of you and not the other way around. You can't even chirp the tires let alone floor it for a nice take off. This year really, really sucks. Maybe a tranny swap after warranty expire?
