Mine was too loud for my wife's liking and droned quite a bit...I went to Nismo and now the wife is satisfied.

Just a personal opinion, Cattman is great as far as all products and customer satisfaction, but I honestly have never heard it in person. I have the Nismo and people said that Cattman was just a little to aggressive and the Nismo is quieter. Honestly, the Nismo is loud to me... and if I got anything louder than this I would not like it. I wanted the G35 sound and the Nismo is a boosted high performance G35 sound, lol. But it does sound great! I love it! Especially if you let someone else take off in your car, WOW!!! But that said I know Nismo is hard to find, other choice I would get Cattman.

Just get the y-pipe/b-pipe paired with your stock mufflers and call it a day. The mufflers add minimal if any gains.

If you worry about noise, just get the cattman rear sections and keep stock b-pipe and resonator.

...mufflers are main area that cause added noise in the exhaust.

Consider installing soundproofing in ur trunk like I did. It helps tremendously. I took one of my muffflers off and started the car and I couldnt tell much difference cuz of the sound proofing. Also, my under body mod I did I think helps out too (check my recent thread on that) because it provides another barrier in which the sound has to go through.

If you like "some noise", like you mentioned above, I would think the Cattman provides just that. I had the Y pipe and complete Cattman installed the same day and for 2-3 days after it seemed a bit too harsh, but only for those first few days. The system really quieted a bit down after this time. If you can appreciate the sound of a quality system like this there won't be any problem. If is still too loud for you try Bquiet.com, there V-COMP material with some spray adhesive lined in my trunk/back seats also toned it down- though I really didn't need it, Unfortunatly I stupidly ordered it before the exhaust came. ARRRGG.

This is why we have get togethers with other Maxima owners so people can see and hear what you have and compare things in person and see if that is something they might like to do. You have Cattman show up with some cars that have his system and others with Nismo and Greddy and see what you like.

This is why I wish there were more of these put together. I can't even find anyone in my area even on the forums.

I used to have a Borla exhaust on my Camaro and I actually wish they would come out with something for us.

Hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm maybe a phone call?

By the way the Nismo exhaust has to altered just a little for it to fit. I believe someone said it's a couple of inches short and you would have to weld in some extension pipe some where.

Yes, but stock resonator will do a better job reducing the noise than aftermarket ones.
