Another 2007 undocumented feature.

I have a 2007 Max with Bose and without Navi, so I can only vouch for this working with this setup. Try it on other setups to see if it works there.

Up until the other day, whenever I went to the gas station, I'd reset all of my numbers - MPH, MPG, and Time driven - individually by pressing the [TRIP INFO] button, holding it until each individual display blanked and then moved on to do the next. So each time I filled up, I'd go through three "display and reset" cycles, one for each screen.

The other day, I discovered that if you're in any of these screens and hit and hold [TRIP INFO] for about four seconds, it will give you an audible beep and reset ALL of the screens for you with just the one press.

Cool!

Yes. If you hold it down for a couple of seconds (2?), it will reset only that number. Keep it down for another few seconds and you may hear a beep if you have the beep enabled. That indicates a reset of all numbers.

Did you guy's hear if you hold the door open button on your key FOB down both your front windows will open (won't work for closing), but if you insert your key into the door and turn it and hold it in the lock position, the two front windows will close!!!

Yeah, I knew about the window-down function. I'm not sure If I remember the bit about the key to put them back up or not. It's not something I'd use very often.

But the window-down thing is great on these hot summer days. I love the look of people in the parking lot as the windows appear to roll down all by themselves!

Thanks for the reset tip.

The window down trick has made for some good Candid Camera moments in the parking lot. Need to use it here today... its freakin' 100° out there right now... not looking forward to leaving office.

Sucks that the 5.0g Max didn't have it. I was very disappointed when I got my '00. My '95, '96, '03 and '07 all had/have it, but my '00 and '01 didn't/don't.

but I wish it didn't reset the trip 2 information, I never reset that one in the year I've had the car - it's interesting to see the total time my butt's been in the driver seat.

Glad I saw this thread. Just tried it at lunch (windows auto roll-down) and it worked. Love it. Very Knight Rider-esque.

We checked to see if my boss' Audi A5 had this feature at lunch today. Nope. HAHA!! He said "you feel special now?".. 50k+ for an Audi and it doesn't auto roll the windows! What a rip off!

That is sweet my buddy has a wm 540i and that thing has tons of little things that you would think about he is always discovering. Like for example you can set a timer to circulate new area in the car. For example, you always go to lunch at 12. You can set the car at 1150 to recirculate the air so the car isnt hot as ***** when you get in. Pretty cool.

Now that would be a really useful feature to have. It gets so hot in my car sitting out in the parking lot at work with the summer sun beating down on it. It is an oven when I get it in.

The windows-down is pretty nice. My 98 maxima has the same thing. Didn't know the windows could go back up like that though.

Same here... and, you may have noticed, there are two distinctly different beeps for the two different clear functions.
