ok complete newbie when it comes to rims. I've only ever had stock wheels before. But I've been wanting to put some on my '08.

what do you guys think of these?.... and what about this brand... Petrol?

Don't know about the brand, but I kinda sorta like them because they look subtle, flashy and VIP all at the same time

Yeah, I'm still going to look around. Those just caught my eye last night.

not sure about size yet. my initial thought was to just go the same size as I have now. But I'd be open to going an inch or 2 bigger.

ok another newbie question =)...

my tires are basically brand new. So if I went w/ the same size wheel... and found rims the same size as my stock wheels... they could just be swapped out, right?... using the same tires?

Not a bad looking rim. Three things to keep in mind however.

1.) How heavy are the rims (heavy rims will slow your car down and lower your MPG significantly.

2.) Chrome is a b-tch to maintain (espacially in salt states/next to impossible/will get destroyed in no time)

3.) They show the most generous lip there is for that wheel. Your size and offset might have much smaller lip. Have somebody take picture of the exact size rim you're looking for. 99% of cases you will be more than dissapointed.

Not really feelin them that much. They remind me of the stock 04 rims... just slightly smaller spoke... Look around man, there are tons of nice ones out there. Unless you really do like this one. Go to buywheelstoday.com so you can get a really good idea of what's out there.

petrol is tsw's high end line. judging by the website this venture was a failure since almost all the multi-piece wheels have been discontinued.

something cool about these is they have a stainless steel lip insert.

I like the first wheels. It looks like a machined face with a chrome lip. From what I hear TSW is a quality wheel, if Petrol is the upline, all the better.

Here's some wisdom +1 on all three points

2.) If you have a set of winter wheels then you should be fine because chrome is easy to take care of in the summer.
4.) The Nismos are a great alternative, ligthweight and look good.
