07s have the CVT if you like that. I would go manual tranny, but if you want an regular automatic then I'd go 2005-06. Watch for fading chrome strips on the roof, make sure the stereo (especially Bose) plays out of the left channel without any problems. Run the A/C for a while make sure it work, there have been leak issues there too. Good luck.

Yes!!! I second that, still need to get my A/C looked at. It seems to be a common problem with 6th gen Max....I need to find out where can I get the replacement chrome strips as well....faded...I've had mine a little over 2 years now. Also, lookout for the "big" silver tooth for the grill. It starts to lose it's material fairly quickly. I'm thinking about just getting a replacement grille.

watch out for the firewall/exhaust rattle.... It sounds like a rock in a tin can when you accelerate pass 3K rpm. That has been a problem with 05's, im not too sure if its with other years.

If you go with the 6.5 gen, it has improved leather seats, attractive grill, improved fog light placement, Auxiliary Input for your Ipod, larger exhaust tips, improved front and rear bumpers and the highly desired spoiler.

I need the replacement chrome strips too. Stealership charges around 115 or more for each of them...

You can order them from some parts websites but they told me that its almost guaranteed they will get bent during shipping...

Whats your price range, used cars are exactly that used cars, hit or miss and dealer will make you believe everything they have was owned by little old lady who only took it to church and bingo like any car purchase 1st find the cars you like then see what that specific car has, even take it to an outside shop or ask a Nissan tech what he thinks.

In the past I advised several people to lease a car, but with the intent to buy it at the end cause they did not have the money for a down payment, right now they have awesome deals on 08, go lease an 08, figure out what your payment total is, add in the residual value that the car is worth at the end, make sure it adds up to what you might finance it for and then go for it, thats what I did, my lease deal came out to 3500 less then financing
