I just installed my new short shifter on the 04 max. The part under the hood was no problem, but when I tried to install the part in the cabin on the bottom of the shifter I noticed that the round black bushing that connects the shifter with the linkage is falling apart. By the time I take it off of there, it will be useless. So I need a new bushing but have no clue where to get one.
Advance Auto Part wasn't any help, I tried the dealership but they told me I have to buy the whole linkage assembly for $130 .

I've seen some bushings online, but they are for 02-03 maximas, will those fit the 6th gen? I'm thinking they should be the same.

 

Energy suspension bushings have firmer bushings. I believe that Cattman carries them.

That I am not sure about. You can check with Nissan and if they say they use the same bushings then it will work.
