Just got a used 06 maxima

Hey you guys im new to the forum but have learned a lot in the past hours. Well i got my used 06 Nissan maxima on saturday. I bought it for 21,000 i gave 2500 down payment an traded my 1992 Saturn. It it a good buy It has 43000 miles it is the SE it is fully loaded except no GPS. i has leather 6 cd changer, bose system, heated steering wheel and seats and sunroof. They also added a 7 year service plus warranty. I love my car and handles great i am a 19 year old student and have to say it is a nice first car. i want to know what i need to know about the car and how to take care of it and if it is a reliable car. Thanks

You're a 19yr old student and you bought an 06 maxima?

How the F*ck can you afford that? I was poor as hell in college....or did your parents buy it for you?

my parents gave me the 2500 i just traded my car and am paying the 300 dollars a month plus my insurance which is another 300 i have a job so im making a sacrifice i have part of a scholarship to pay for college so im not to worried about it

Personally, I would have gotten a much cheaper car, somewhere in the $5000 range.

humm well it sounds like a good deal to me. it is from the dealer right.. so you got any pictures and what color is it? you should also look at becoming a team-driven member..

very true.. my neighbor has a 06 and i love how it looks.. i would have bought one but i don't have the money.. oh and team-driven is just a nissan community in norcal.. they have meets every month and adding another maxima would be great.. just go to team-driven.net and check it out..

i did some information my goal was to buy a altima but when i test drove it i didnt like it you can get all the research but what does that matter if you dont like the car after you drive it right my back up was the maxima but i didnt do that much information but im glad i got it and i think i got it a little to expensive but it was my first buy and not my last i hope but thanks for welcoming to the community lol

well if you got everything you wanted in the max, it's worth it. no way an altima could have given me what was looking for at the time. when i was pushing the price down, they tried to get me into an alti. i almost walked out on him. but i got my way and still happy 4 years later

i know same here when i asked for a lower monthly payment he said that the maxima was too much of car for me and told me to get the altima but i loved the max after i test drove it and i got my deal too :smile: i know it may seem like alot but im gonna try and pay it off in 4 years instead of 5

you know there are tools for that... but i confess i use a nail here or there detailing. stripes work with some models, but imo not the 6th gen. some disagree and that's cool.
