"Brake service" at the dealer?
many shops will check the conditions of your breaks for you for free, or you can do it yourself visually.
As a blanket statement every service the dealer provides is either unnecessary (but makes you feel good) and/or is over priced.
brakes are a very easy job which could save you a chunk of change if did it yourself. i am sure there is a write-up somewhere on here if it is your first time.
if you don't want to deal with it yourself i would suggest a local independent shop, or you could put some money in the pocket of a poor local .orger who knows what they are doing
