"Brake service" at the dealer?

What exactly do they do? Lube calipers, etc, check everything, etc.
Is it worth it to do that or what?

many shops will check the conditions of your breaks for you for free, or you can do it yourself visually.

As a blanket statement every service the dealer provides is either unnecessary (but makes you feel good) and/or is over priced.

brakes are a very easy job which could save you a chunk of change if did it yourself. i am sure there is a write-up somewhere on here if it is your first time.

if you don't want to deal with it yourself i would suggest a local independent shop, or you could put some money in the pocket of a poor local .orger who knows what they are doing

this has 'brake check' written all over it
They do extensive inspection free of charge

if you worried, id get it done there or places similar that specialize in brakes..and free..so why not
