$754

Ok my stock Bose system blew out the other day so i took it up to the dealer and instead of trying to look at the problem, they automatically said that the radio needs to be replaced and the cost for the radio is $754... They went on to tell me that the radio's are known to have issues and go out... So my warranty co said they will cover it. minus my $100 ded.. So will see when the part comes in on wed.

Back in the 90's people thought rockford fosgate was the end all to radios. Blah! They put them in sentra spec v's for a few years. Crap if you ask me.

One of my friends is in the audio/video home theatre business. He laughs at my radio and says "No Highs, no lows, it must be Bose".

Just out of curiosity, what would be a nice replacement at a good price?

*hopefully not to off topic*

I have the stock BOSE in my '04 and I travel a lot so I listen to the radio. I have over 100,000 miles and have had no problems. If they had the problems that they are saying there should have been a recall. Call up the 800 help line and ask them.

i hate the warranty companies. first they tell you that they will cover everything to make you buy the warranty and once you take it back to them they say oh this aint covered and try to make you pay..

Well, its not really the warranty co fault. Its the consumers, when i got my warranty i read through it several times then compared it to others that was online and got the best possible warranty i could find, and it covers everything.. i have already used it to get a new tranny and now a new radio.
