PLEASE HELP, TRANSMISSION PROBLEM !!!

04 Maxima SL, 105K miles. Transmission fluid matic K was drained and filled with exactly the same amount of fluid. Now, when brakes are applied and coming to a stop, the car jerks just before it stops. Never did this before the drain and fill
Does anyone know what’s causing this and any possible fixes …..
My fluid is within range ¼ way up from the minimum mark
Thanks

your going thru shift shock , how many miles on your ride ? Have nissan reflash the TCM , also have them check out your motor mounts, they could be worn and is causing it the jerk back.

very common in 04s

Check this out: http://www.valvebodyxpress.com/tech/AW55-50-Nissan.asp

Nissan shift adapts
To clear the shift adapts, a Nissan factory specific scanner, (Consult Scan Tool), must be used. The EEPROM in the TCM is erased and reset to the default settings during a process that Nissan refers to as “TCM Initialization”. Following is a list of things that can be adapted and must be learned by the TCM for proper shift and engagement feel.

Up/down shift control, the TCM learns the correct pressure for each shift.
N-D engagement, the TCM learns the correct forward clutch pressure for a good forward engagement.
N-R engagement, the TCM learns the correct direct clutch pressure for a good reverse engagement.
Torque reduction control, the TCM learns the correct amount of engine torque reduction to request during up and down shifting as well as N-D and N-R engagements.
At this time, no aftermarket scan tool is capable of performing the TCM Initialization, nor is there a manual reset procedure.

105 thousand miles, auto 5spd. The jerk, just before the car slows down and/or stops, only happens sometimes, so that makes me believe it's not the motor mounts.
Nissan resetting the TCM makes sense.
I did a second drain and fill today, (hoping that may help).
Felt a little judder when braking and slowing down, no jerk just before the slow down or stop, though.
Car definitely does not feel the same when shifting, will know more tomorrow.
Will any damage happen to the tranny, if I delay getting the TCM reset. Will it get worse, or possibly clear itself out ?
Thanks Again !

This seems stupid but it happens. Make sure you have the right fluid.

Will any performance mods have an effect on the car if Nissan resets the TCM?
