RacingLine Y-Pipe going on next week...need help

hey like the title says i'm looking to put on my y-pipe now for next week cause it looks like the weather in NYC is starting to turn out for the better. no more snow expected.

now the question i have is...has anyone swapped out their y-pipe themselves? with standard tools (ie jack, stands, basic rachet set, and a lil muscle) is this advised? the only thing i'm worried about is the o2 sensor on the y-pipe. how sensitive is it, and how easy is it to damage or even break? can i take it out with a small pipe wrench and towel? thanks again for the feedback...

All I've heard is that it is VERY easy to install the y pipe with the basic tools you have listed. I'm going to be doing this in the near future as well. GL

13 or 14 mm for the nuts on the studs and a 22 mm for the O2 sensor. a little gasket sealent never hurt too. just a dab 'll do ya.

Hey george got your Pm ,but to answer question just pay a shop small fee, the reason is most of the time the bolts are a pain dont loosen easy and snap due to rust and weather might also need a torch sometimes also likestated them O2's are pretty tight also, them 6bolts look simple but dont let them fool you. trust me Ive done a few so avoid the headache and have shop do it on a lift.. GL...

I'm in Chicago... similar weather as NYC... I'd just go to any muffler shop... even a Midas. It's an easy job with a lift, but some of those bolts are likely rusted on, and I sure wouldn't want to be struggling with them while laying underneath the car... even if it's on jack stands. Just my $0.02.
