New Exhausts!!!!

Hey guys,

I just picked these up last night - wanted to get some feedback (my car guy has another set with the single outlet as well) not sure if I made the right decision or not....

I didn't know another way of posting the pics so I used Flickr... let me know if there are any issues with viewing the pics...

-They look pretty good. Going on your 6th gen correct? What kind of mufflers are they? Whenever they get installed definitely get a sound clip up.

I was looking for something light and also something that would not give the 6th gen that "ricer look" you know dude....

I decided to go with CLA after talking to Dave (my car guy here in TO) he has installed this specific brand on a few 240sx's and a few other Nissans and he recommended these ones.

Link is below

http://www.poliauto.ca/index.php?mai...ndex&cPath=209

Canadian Distributor mainly, the exhausts are light and very durable so it should be a good fit for the max.

I will deff. post the sound clip once installed man..

Thanks for the reply

So you got these correct?
http://www.poliauto.ca/index.php?mai...roducts_id=632

As for not having that "ricer" look, I'm all for that and the mufflers should look good on the car. Hopefully they sound as good as they look and don't rust out.

yeah dude, those were the ones I ended up going with...it seemed the logical choice since I LOVE the quad pipe look.

As for the rusting issue, I'm going to Krown anyways for my yearly rustproof (I hope that will take care of it) thoughts???

I got a wicked deal on them as well 150 for both (keep in mind it's 150 Canadian so it's like dirt cheap if you are in the States man)

Those aren't too bad. It's hard to judge without sound clips though you know. Post some up and you may just get the thumbs up!

so, just got a call from my car guy -> the mufflers are not an exact fit, so he has to add/weld an extra piece on each exhaust as he mentioned so they can fit. I am going to see the car tonight (see exactly what has to be done). He said that it will be ready tomorrow afternoon. Only thing that sucks is that it's my day off tomorrow and I have to go back and forth (he's about 20km away from my house)....

what can you do...

Shouldnt take THAT long to do an exhaust. I had my entire exhaust custom made in about 6 hours.

yeah bro - went last night to pick up the car -> issue is that the inlet on each muffler is about 3 inches from where the original ones are so he has to get new connection points, parts had to be ordered since he didn't have anything in the back, hence why I'm waiting "impetiently" for Monday morning

he's charging me $180 for everything...not sure if that's a good deal so I called a few other places and they are asking for minimum $200 per muffler w/o even looking at the damn things!!!

$180 for everything is a great deal, stay away from shops that bindly give you a dollar amount for work without even knowing the scope of the work. They will learn their lesson in the wallet eventually!!!

thanks for the heads up Chern, $180 sounded good for both mufflers... He has installed most of the mods on the car so I figure I could trust him to get the mufflers done. I am dropping the car today (lunchtime) and picking it up after work. I will post some pics as soon as I get home guys...I can't wait

dude, I live in Toronto (Leaside area) sadly nothing is cheap here...

it's 180 for both so it seemed like a good deal. I will keep Budget in mind for anything next time, thanks bro

I just had new mufflers installed on my Max... They had to weld extra piping because they were too short as well. They only charged me $40 each side but I live in Brooklyn, NY!!
