dam.... i would think a wooden front lip would weigh the front bumper down too much...

Got Wood??????

Do we need to spay termite repliant on this front lip before painting???

Ha!!!

Looking good so far man!!!

If I tell you I would have to kill you ,........ na its an RS style lip from a 95 civic, but by the time im done with it it'll be completely different. : D

anyways I couldn't work on it yesterday but today I glued the front pieces to the frame, I'll have to wait till tomorrow to take the tape of and start filling in the gaps,

Ok, yesterday I woke up to a big time bobo, Friday night I sprayed the inside of the lip with poly foam and left it so I could start trimming Saturday Morning, well let this be a lesson to all of us, don't ever over do it,

and stay with the part to make sure it doesn't screw up your part, , the good news is that I was able to take all the foam out and return the lip to its original shape, im working on it today and doing the filling in with a different technique that wont compromise the shape of the thing :P, as always I will keep you guys posted.

get it anyway. i drove a slammed celica with a fully molded body kit for the longest time i couldnt have had more than 2.5"-3"'s and i was fine. i cant say i never scrapped. but i was careful with it.

i drove it in GA. i wouldnt call our roads nice and smooth, but.. they are decent. but i drove it on plenty of bad roads too. you just have to watch how you drive.

4"!!!, wow, isn't a normal drop like 2" tops?, are you on coils?, right now im having problems trying to keep the lip under 2.75" anything smaller than that would probably look just like a small strip :P,so if we go by normal numbers, a car with a normal drop and this lip should be driving around about 4.5" - 5"

guys, there were going to be more pictures posted yesterday but I had camera problem at the meet, the lip is still not at 100% but it has the final shape for the front, the good news is that the height was measured, so basically if you are lowered and you put the lip on you'll be sitting at ~5" off the ground which is pretty good, considering im sitting at 4.5 with the gtr kit, and I can still drive my car anywhere, carefully getting in and out of drive ways of course, and if you are not lowered you'll sit at around 8", depending on you wheels and tire set up. Also the shape of the lip matched perfectly with the shape of the bumper ,

How is the lip going to bolt on?

Do we have to remove the bottom plastic engine cover? (plastic flap under front end of car)

Do we have to drill into our factory bumper to get that bad boy on???

you wont have to remove that piece as for bolting on the lip, I do believe the safest way is to screw on to the bumper it self using screws, but im still trying to figure out what the best way is, you can't use the stock holes as the pins aren't long enough to go through both the lip the bumper and body of the car, maybe with bolts, we will see.

Ok, guys more pics, I know its taking more time than expected but I have not been able to work on the lip as often as I expected, with what I have done to it right now I should be able to take it in to a body shop so they can just finish it up by smoothing it out, let me know what you think of the lines im shooting for, lets make it clear the line on the side is not final but I do want to have a really subtle line there.

First time I am even seeing this post. Excellent product and probably worth the wait. I have an 08 SE (OE 18's for now) with the 1.8" drop (front) & .08" (rear) Eibach Pro Sport Spring by itself keeping the original shock assembly. I'd be a little skeptic on putting this on even though I am sure I'd have the clearance. If there is a way to fab the top undercarriage lip to match the holes for that under engine flap someone described, they do make a longer 'plastic push pin' that might be able to hold it in. Just a thought. BTW, how much is this?
