Yeah I installed them into my grille. They stay on when the headlights are on and they also work as turn signals.

Nismo's are nice, pricier than most but you get the added bonus of the hydro-lock guard.

the Fujita has a higher HP gain shown by dyno results. also a little louder.

the Nismo has the hydrovalve. and can be made into a short ram intake.

I went with the Nismo, and I'm surprised at how quiet it is. I put a Fujita on my wife's 07 Altima, and that thing was loud. The Nismo on the other hand, pretty much sounds like stock to me. It gives a little growl if you get on it, but nothing like the Fujita. I'm assuming it is due to the longer intake piping.

Length wise, Injen, Fujita, & Nismo are all about the same length and the Air filters sit in the same location...

I know when you install the Nismo as a full CAI as opposed to a short ram, you should get a better HP gain, does anybody have a comparison on the two ways of doing it?

I drive my car for work and have to often take clients... quiet is better for me, but still like the HP gains!!!

i've been meaning to buy a nismo for the longest. only thing that kinda sucks is that they go for around 250 shipped.

i know it can be done, but someone remind on how to make the jita not hydro-lock. . .

I hear that all the time...so why do they sell so many of them? I only ask because I've been debating if I should get one or just stick a K&N high flow drop in...

To be quite honest, people want to believe that because they just dropped $180-250 on a CAI, that it is going to produce "noticeable" horsepower gains...this is just not true. Now if you do true tuning and manage the ECU, then yes you can see some gains. I honestly like the sound and look. Take a before and after dyno and see for yourself.

What would be the single best (bolt-on) HP gain mod you can do?

Quick update.

I had purchased my Nismo Intake online and never recieved it. So I contacted seller and he blamed in on Nissan . Soo I had a post earlier "Which Would You Buy" and was asking wether to get a CAI or LED Tails. So I'm gonna get the tails now. And try the CAI again later.

NISMO = FAIL
LED TAILS = if I buy from ezconcepts.com

I also have a Nismo intake. Now my next question would be, has anyone ever heard of plenum spacers installed on the maxima engine? Now what about a throtle body spacer? Would either one make significant gains in power?
