Blacking Out Roof Of Car With Tints?

The guy I do my window tints with... is offering me to tint the roof as welll

Now Im also thinking about my side mirrors housing he said he can also tint it...

Now my question is ... is it better than paint??

I know its cheaper... who did it and does it look good?

Roof will cost me 150

Vinyl isn't going to last very long on top of the car if it's in the sun constantly. It will also scratch with every wash, and eventually peal I'd have to presume.

Naa, if you're going to do it, do it right with some paint.

On a side note, I never understood why blacking out the top is so popular. It's one thing if the whole car is already black, but if it's already a lighter color, why darken the top...only to make the car harder to keep cool???

DD = Daily driver
and if you get some good quality vinyl, it should put up just fine. Good thing about vinyl is you can just peel it off and your car is return to normal.

Vinyl will do just fine, but like mention will fade and isn't as glossy as paint.

I just painted mine a couple weeks ago and its well worth it. I get compliments about it from strangers on a daily basis.
