Seeking help from those on Eibach pro-kit/KYB setup
Hi Max Family,
I'm soliciting help from you guys about any ideas to resolve the following issue i'm having...
My 2004 5sp auto was lowered about 2 years (15,000 miles) ago from the stock springs/struts to the Eiback pro-kit with Kyb GR-2 struts. The struts have been great, not to harsh for me. However, during my trip from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. my wheels progressively started wobbling when above 20mph. Anyhow, after several incorrect replacements of the struts, struts mounts, strut bearings, tie rods, wheel bearings for both sides of the front end buy various auto shops...when I finally arrived in D.C...Nissan easily discovered that somehow the insides of the half-shafts had vibrated enough inside their insertion points into the transmission..that the gears and the inner spindles of the half-shafts had been destroyed. My ext. warranty covered replacing the half-shafts and the transmission flush. I decided to wait on replacing the transmission. Now my problem is that after they put everything back together I have this horrible binding in both front sides. If the steering wheel is turned ever so slightly in either direction, off center. I never had this problem when my old local tire shop in Cali installed the kit, not one squeak all this time till now. What supplies and process do I need done to get rid of this noise, binding for good? Would adding a FTSB and TAZ end-links help any? Thanks for your help.
