07 Max backup cam?

07 Max backup cam?

hey guys, I have the backup sensors on my 07, and I have Nav.. im new to the 6.5 Gen, previous 03 (5.5 gen) owner. Has anyone added a backup camera to their nav screen? doable?

and where can i get the cam? What works best? i like the stock look where its on an angle in the license plate bay

They claim that it is plug n play on the 2004-2010 maxima on the ebay link. If you goto NAVTOOL's website you will see that they have one for 2004-2006, 2007-2008, and 2009-2010.

Makes me think that the unit will work but will only be plug and play depending on the wiring harness on the unit. If its the same on all years then thats awesome. I doubt that i are the same though since the manufacturer's website has listings for each generation maxima and i know for a fact that the radio connections are not the same between the 2004-2006 and the 2007-2008 so i don't think the nav/screen connections are the same either.

As far as the camera look for one with a large viewing angle and that it is a CCD camera and not a cheaper CMOS camera. CCD has way better picture quality and low light ability than CMOS.

If you do some research you can find the one from PAC for under $200. It's all plug n play.

For the 6.5 gen with nav you can't install aftermarket radios. We're stuck with factory. So we have to interface with it.
