Need Opinions

Alright, I'm interested in seeing if I'm going on the right path with modding my car. Just needed some HONEST opinions on either a mod I should do or re-do.

Here's a couple of pics:

Thanks a lot for the input man. The more I see the c-mod grille on other max's the more I can agree that it looks better than all the other grilles they have out there for our cars. Especially your ride which has become an inspiration. As for the rain guards, I don't really like them myself but I got tired of getting rained on. In Seattle, it's 90 % rain and 10% sun LOL

we have the same exact car...
im not a fan of rain guards.. so i say take it off...
tint as what everybody suggests... including your tails...
+2 on the strips.. i did the same thing..
maybe a roof spoiler?
grille is nice but you could black it out...
new rims are okay but you could opt for powdercoating.. thats my next goal...
drop your car...

Rain guards serve a purpose. If you use them, I say keep them. They don't look terrible.

I am in the same boat as you... So far I have gone with 350z wheels, tint, blacked-out roof strips, modded OEM grill (looking to get a c-Mod) and KCMAxx rear strut bar.

Future plans include RacingLine front strut bar and drop. I may tint the tail lights if that is legal in Tennessee (don't know if it is or not).

cmejatt states "96 accord lip" in their post.

Check eBay or www.car-parts.com

Sounds like you did a lot to your ride already. You should post some pics of it but if you can't tint your tails then you could always get ezconcept black tail lights. I'm planning on getting those in the future since tinting tails are pretty illegal in Seattle too.

Well, they are actually creating a brand new lip at 6thgenmaxima.org that will be modeled after the scion lip.

1. TINT I don't like the rain guards but sometime you have to go function over form, the angle of our windows does let in a lot of rain, even if it's just sprinkling. Tint the windows first try to get a shade that compliments the rain guards, I think it will be fine.

2. WHEELS If you could find a nice set of Nismo 19in that would look real good but 19in rubber is a little expensive. Since you have a chrome grille, you might look for some chrome wheels too. Saves you $$ since you keep your grille, going C-Mod costed me a bit finding the right mesh. It will also match your headlights.

3. DROP: Tein/Eibach springs for a nice drop?

4. PAINT: One thing I really haven't seen anyone do on a 6.5 yet. Paint the fog lamp inserts in the bumper to match the rest of the car. It always stands out to me. The only cars I think it looks normal on, are the black ones.

5. TAIL LIGHTS: If you tint them don't go to dark.

Definitely, I decided to re-paint my headlights to look kind of like the scions. Then I'm installing two HID kits for the headlights and fogs. So, when the time comes you'll see what I'm planning. It's gonna look sick. Oh yeah, switchbacks also are going to be in my plans later once I get the ***** to splice wires and what nots LOL

The reason for the change in headlights is because it doesn't necessarily flow like I want it too. Imagine if the two big chrome pieces were blacked out. Leaving the ring and it's reflector.

One piece at a time, I'll incorporate a lot of the suggestions in the coming months. Stay tuned.

How about............now LOL

Anyways, thanks for the input. It's very much appreciated and I'm probably going to end up power coating the grille gloss black in the future.

Looks good but what exactly did you do to the headlights? Is your side marker chrome? Looks different at the different angles.

Thanks a lot man. Well, if you need any help then you could just pm me and I'll just give you the same instructions that were given to me. This is actually the first set of headlights that I have ever painted LOL

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting the grille powder coated black eventually. Doing things one step at a time.

Thanks man. I basically blacked out the whole headlight except for the ring and the reflector for the main light. Gotta get some better pictures I guess because the reason why it looks chrome because of the reflection it's getting from the sky and what nots.
