Hello everyone,

My 2004 Maxima (108,000 miles) transmission is starting to occasionally slip. Also, the transmission has been engaged to 5th gear twice. Seems that this is a common problem with this car. Is there anything I can do at this point? I'm afraid to take the car to the dealership because they are just going to tell me to replace the transmission. I'm just hoping there is a way I can mitigate this and prolong the life of the car.

Also, I had a transmission flush little less than a year ago. Never had a problem until now.
