Brand new transmission/clutch installed.....

Had the car at the local Nissan dealership last week and they installed a new 6speed transmission and factory Nissan clutch under the extended warranty. Took longer than expected, but then again that's to be expected haha.

Got the car back, was driving fine Friday. Now the car is hard to go into first gear, and reverse. They are claiming it needs a new clutch pedal assembly because the clutch is not fully disengaging. I call bs. The car drives fine after a little time to get it in first gear. It drives as it should, smooth and feels good. If the clutch wasnt disengaging wouldn't it be grinding going into 2nd, third, fourth, etc?

They want $400 to install a $50 pedal assembly. I am new to these cars. LS1 stuff I can work on no problem but I am still learning these VQ platforms. Is this that bad of an install to remove and reinstall the clutch pedal assembly? Anyone done it?

Thanks.

I had my tranny and clutch changed under waranty 2000 miles ago. A new clutch pedal assembly was installed at the same time as one of the spot welds on the unit broke. I too now have an issue of getting the car into 1st gear when the car is cold, though reverse is not an issue.
