Replacing Camshaft Sensor

I was getting the camshaft position sensor error code. So I replaced bank one and disconnected the negative battery lead. The ses, slip and tcs off lights went off but came back on 70 miles later. Now I noticed there was oil on the sensor when I pulled it out. Is this oil on the sensor normal or should I just replace bank 2?

The scanner should give you the right one to replace and no reason to disconnect battery. Reset the computer with OBD scanner. When mine went I replaced both. Can't remember if I saw any oil but shouldn't be a problem.

When I got the cam position sensor code, I just replaced both of them.
