My Max

You've probably seen my name by now, I've posted many times. I've asked many questions and I've given answers to the few things I know. And now I'm finally going to post some pics of my Max. It's a 2004 SE with about 62,000 miles, I've had it for about 2 months.

Alright, someone help me out here. I've seen pics that were as big as my screen and all I get is thumbnails. What am I doing wrong? How do you post bigger pics?

Nice clean ride, your pics when clicked on get big. Now I use Photobucket to post pics and all you have to do is copy and paste the IMG link and big pics will show!

If using something else copy the properties of the picture and when writing your text and posting pictures click on the tools box that has a Yellow sky, mountain, moon and post your picture properties

in the pop up window and this is what you'll get!

Nice and clean. Looks like you had better luck with those LED tails than I did

Maybe, maybe not. I love them and they look good with my black car, but I'm having an issue with condensation in the drivers side light.

It's in pretty good shape overall. It's got a few minor dings here and there.

I don't know about that man. It's been a nightmare for me......first off. I had condensation with the passenger side light. Right out of the box during installation on a sunny day!!

Secondly, I made the mistake of following the instructions of following the instructions from this thread:

http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...look-here.html

Where he instructs you to open up the pins on the tail light connector. After a few tries. The pin on the driver side broke. So, I'm stuck with some useless pieces of tail lights at this point. Another problem I'm finding is that it's REAL hard to get in contact with this guy. It's almost like trying to communicate with a human vegetable. It's damn near impossible, I haven't even received a response in 2 weeks!!

I had the exact same problem with the condensation, and mine's on the passenger side as well!

But I'm glad you posted that link, I'm having that problem as well ON THE PASSENGER SIDE! What is it with that light?? Anyway, I'm going to CAREFULLY try the suggestions in that post and see if it fixes my problem.

This forum never ceases to amaze me - all the answers that can be found. If I have a problem, there's a good chance someone else has as well and has posted about it.

I'm going to purchase some soon from ezkoncepts.com. As for the condesation it's probably sealed badly. As you probably know someone had to open these up and install the infinity lights and didn't do a good job sealing them. I'm sure there's a way to open them and use new sealent for this problem. I will do that first before i install them.

I contacted them regarding my problems and here's the response I got:

"Hello,
They are covered under warranty if there is a seal problem with the light, make sure sure all you connectors on the back of the light and nice and snugged, you should be able to see a bad seal on the light, just fallow the black line that is on the edge of the lights (led side), if you see anything that is not uniform you may have a bad seal, but they are rare, in two years I've only dealt with 1 set that had that condition.

FYI, shipping charges aren't covered under a manufacturer's warranty replacement.
Edgar G.
ezkoncepts.com"

I haven't checked it out yet to see if the seal could be bad or not. I'm getting tired of removing it.

LOL, I don't know the issue with that neither. The only explanation I got was that some moisture probably entered during shipping. Any other form of condensation would most likely be coming from the connection with the sidemarker light.

You'll notice that all the other connections close pretty snug besides that one. Also, be careful when tightening it since if you overdo it than it'll pop right back out again.

I would highly advise that you not do that since the circuitry can be short circuited and damaged with high heat. Also, this would affect the warranty that are on the lights if a problem was to occur.

The next pics I post will look slightly different - I just bought some Tein S-Tech springs! I'll probably also have the black vinyl eyelids on, the black vinyl side marker covers on and the black vinyl strips to cover the chrome roof strips that are about 3 different colors now. I love my Max!

Definitely post some pics man. This section of the forum needs more build threads since it's more concerned with technical issues than anything.

Finally got the Max lowered! I used Tein S-Tech springs that I bought from an org member. They're about 1.5 inches in the front and .5 in the rear.

officerfrasher, I finally got to do the blackout tape mod. It was really tough. I have a few bubbles, but I do like the way it turned out. I will definitely post pics maybe over the weekend. How is yours holding up? You got bubbles?

It was just a suggestion but yeah, most people are petrified at the idea of baking open their headlights and painting them
