Royal Purple coolant additive???

http://www.royalpurple.com/radiator-additive.html

Has anyone used it in their Max?

I searched online, and the only bad thing I found was problems in Mercedes' (but I guess it's not compatible with their type of coolant).

its ok, i've head good things about this stuff, all it does is lower the boiling point of the existing fluid.. radiators can handle lots of abuse, i left a water bottle full of vodka in my buddies car, he had a cracked head and the water overflew into the overflow res, he filled it back up with a bottle of vodka and we didn't find out until a few months later when i asked him about where it went.

LOL! Vodka??? I would have been scared to try that.

But yeah, it's getting hot, and I figured my engine running cooler couldn't hurt. Just wondering if anyone tried it & if it worked or not.

If it's overheating then it would be in your best interest to fix whatever the problem is. This stuff is mainly for older cars and cars that are heavily modified whose factory radiators just can't keep up. Adding this stuff won't hurt your car but it's kind of like putting a bandaid on it.

When I said "it's getting hot", I was referring to the weather outside, not my car overheating.

I just bought a bottle of this for my Thunderbird when I get my new radiator Monday. I figured it couldn't hurt, and temps are already hitting 103 here. I hate to see what August is going to do to us.
