I'm not sure what bulbs the 6th gens use but it sounds like you're looking for some 35W 6000K HIDs for the low beams and fogs.

Oh and don't worry about blinding drivers, you have projectors

I believe they are 9006 bulbs and for HID's DDM Tuning is a great site for them...

Unless you really like the idea of Riced out civic police siren blue, I would
suggest you do some googling of kelvin ratings or color temperatures.

You got that all wrong, the Kelvin rating is the color, has very little to do with brightness. However, the higher you go on the scale, the less visible light will be available to you when you need it. Anywhere between 4300 (stock HID) to about 6000 is the best brightness. Higher than that and you'll be sorry...

I have 5000k headlights and 6000k fogs in my 04. The 5000k bulbs are ones I bought from TRS and the 6000k are from HID Extra. When I turn them both on together, I get a great white combination on the ground.

The fog lights are located in the headlight housing next to your headlights.. The lights in the bottom of the bumper are your cornering lights. I have the Elite as well but it doesnt make a difference, all 04-06 Maximas are the same in that respect.

There arent any HID cornering lights that I know of because it would take too long for the bulbs to warm up. You could put some really good leds in there but be careful. I went through 3 sets of bulbs because they kept blowing out the fuse or the actual led bulb connector would fry. A member on here sent me his and they worked no problem

For your cornering lights, buy some really good multi-led bulbs off of ebay like many people do.. The cornering lights are size 3156 so basically search "3156 white smd led" for the best ones. I was looking those up earlier because I am thinking about replacing mine as well. They match the headlights very well but I want something brighter. Someone may have done HIDs in the cornering lights but for the time and effort required compared to their actual use, its most likely a waste of time.

H1, H2, H3 are bulb sizes.. or Hummers... whichever you choose

Here is a link to all the bulb sizes in your car: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

Is not a waste of time if i have that i will have it on all the time lol just for the looks of it, going to go to a shop that offers warranty on there work and bulbs , so if it fry something is on them and they have to fix it or do it the right way so that wont happen, thats what i am going to do for sure.

Make sure if you do go that route that you check the legality of those lights. I dont know if HIDs down there would melt the housing being on all the time, plus they point out to the sides, not forward.

I am going to try to go to a professional place where they will tell me if it will melt and stuff like that and if it do that they will replace all things thast damage but i hope it dont melt nothing plus i may not use it as much, going to go the safe way what ever they tell me at the shop.

4300K (stock) is the best light output.... but it,s a bit yellowish white (just like stock hid projectors when you look close.... it aint blue at all....)

I went 6000K and it was bad light output. The lenses looked blue, but thats all. Went back to 4300K to see at night..... Alot of people will sacrifice some light for the blue. Thats a choice.

I had 6k hids in the fogs but I put back the stock halogen bulbs. You dont see further anyway (just a bit brighter on the ground right in front of me, thats doesnt help me). Plus with side by side 6k bulbs, I kept getting flashed... I just dont use the fogs anymore, and honestly, I dont even use them in the fog, because it makes things worse, so go figure....

Dont go above 6000K. You will attract the police, and you wont see anything at night.

Dude, at some point you have to man up and try one. That's a quality product from a quality company, and at a killer price. Just go for it.

3000k will be yellowish, anywhere from 4300-6000 will get you white to slight blue. Anything above that you have to experiment with and determine what you like best. Some people go all the way to 30,000 for the pure purple look...

I went with 5000k heads because for lack of better words, it looks more "pure" to me. Its a very intense white/blue that looks great.

Here is a good link about why what temps are better than others. After reading this, it really persuaded me to get the 5k. All my other cars had 6k but I eventually dropped them to 5k as well.

EDIT: Post some pics when you get them installed man. The 8k's are more blue and look better. Only thing is that the visibility just sucks on those.

Buy HID headlights and fogs then buy some really good leds for the cornering lights. That way you are putting the hids in the most beneficial places for driving.

This is my old setup. 4300k headlights, 6000k foglights, 6000k switchbacks. I dont have a pic of my cornering lights at night but they are slightly whiter than my reverse lights, but definitely as bright.

I have since taken my switchbacks out because they refused to work correctly and replaced my factory bulbs with 5000k Morimotos from TRS. Next time Im going to order from autolumination because I heard theres are more guaranteed to work.

The fog light size is on the bulb guide listed above ^^ I got my fog light hids from hidextra.com and my headlight bulbs from theretrofitsource.com but I had factory hids. I have never seen those switchback alternatives but if you go that route keep us updated. If they work well I would buy some again for that price. All you need is 2 resistors and youll be fine with those turning lights

Here's a link for the switchbacks you need. A LOT of members including me get them from here:

Anyways, 6k is the way to go. I got 6k everything (check out my sig)

Nothing crazy needs to be done when you order switchbacks. Just mount the resistors behind the taillights and you should be fine.

I ordered mine from V-LEDs but they refused to work correctly. I called and emailed them and they told me that the Nissan Altimas and Maximas have weird electrical systems and they would let me return them for the full amount even though I had them for a month.

http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...-resistor.html

^^Here's a link to the resistor install. Takes no more than 15 minutes.

They're plug and play. Like bossmaxima said, you do need some resistors. If you have the LED tails (which have 6ohm resistors in them already) than you need the 6ohm and if you don't. It's the 3ohm resistors.

I have mine connected to the front bumper and opposed to the rear. It works fine and there's plenty of room there. Plus, it's easier since you kill two birds with one stone.
