New CF Xtune gauges

After two weeks of going back and forth between work to my car tech David, I was finally able to get the gauges installed. I am pretty happy with the overall look of it. As far as I know, except for Nizmo101 I'm the only other guy that has this done. I ended up going with the Oil Temp, A/F and Volt setup. Pics posed are two night shots and two daytime ones. Sorry for the iphone pics, didn't have time to grab the other camera.

Let me know what you guys think ->

eh, i don't like it. stands out too much especially at night, doesn't flow with the rest of the car.

perhaps if they were made out of plasti-dip you would like them

all good man - i was searching long and hard to find anything close to the color of my car and it was useless so i went with the least obscene color combo.

idk, I kind of agree with twentyeggs, it doesnt really flow with the interior of the car....looks a bit like it was just bought at autozone and stuck up there IMO.

Ehhh, I applaud the effort... but, as much as it pains me to say, I agree with 20eggs. The flow isn't there. If you dropped the info screen done and install the gauges in the dash?

color matched paint FTW. you can get a rattle can with the perfect color you are looking for, for under 20 bucks online. i would like to see what they look like with the color you had in mind. It would help with the flow.

I like the look, the idea, and the placement. the problem is that the gauges are just too big, too tall and too bulky which makes it look gaudy and cheap.. If they had smaller gauges i would be very interested in picking up a cluster of my own. I think if you changed the orange amber lighting in your car to white, blue, or indigo, it would make the overall look a lot better.

you did a great job on the install tho, so props.

I thought of doing that, but was worried that I would run into more issues. I am thinking of changing the dash lights to match the gauges but am not sure as of yet. Main reason why I did this mod is because I wanted something when I take the car to the track up north and because it was not an expensive mod overall. I do like the function behind it and I also could remove it at anytime so it's no biggie.

i was planning on doing that myself but found a member that could get both lights done for under $300. I think that's not a bad price since I have a one year old boy so "free-time" is a bit non existent for me.

I like the idea with the gauges and was thinking of doing something similar myself. Any hiccups with the install or is it pretty straight forward?

the only problem i found was the location for mounting the pod and actually deciding on what gauges to get. i found the install to be a 6 out of 10 (and i am not techy by any means) - i did have my mechanic on call if anything went wrong.

Damn, that's expensive as hell man. See if he's willing to do it for a $100 bucks. It only takes about an hour or less to get both finished (well, for a 6.5 it's that quick).

I would suggest that you just do it yourself but, I can understand since you gotta take care of your boy. If that member your talking about is unwilling to go any lower than I suggest that you just look around and find somewhere that is cheaper. 300 is WAY to much IMHO
