I found the process online and thought I would post it here since part of the process was missing. The following instructions ARE NOT MINE. I'm just posting them on the forum. It worked for me a on 6th generation Maxima. I edited the steps a little to make them easier to follow


Air Bag Light Reset

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

Step 5 will require you to press the DDS (Driver's Door Switch, which is located on the driver's side pillar. The button is covered by a rubber cover)

5. Turn the ignition off, turn the ignition on (DO NOT START THE CAR) press the driver's door switch button 5 times within 7 seconds.

6. Turn the ignition off, remove the key, shut the driver's door, turn the ignition on and star the car. The blinking light should go way.

TAKE YOUR TIME TO DO THE STEPS. If you followed the steps correctly, it should work. Try the steps again if it did not work. Do the following steps if you have done everything correctly and if it still did not work, you may have a bigger problem
