help 07 idle problem

help 07 idle problem

07 maxima just did full 3.5 swap old motor had bad timing chain put the new motor in and it has high idle can figure out why already tried to reset the ecu cel keeps coming back any one have any ideas

Why didn't they just replace the timing chain in the old motor?

Timing Chain

Why did you replace the motor and not just the chain and related parts?

Most time the RPM needed to be reset by the dealer, via computer... If resetting is not working out for you ...Dealer is ur only option.

I'd bet your throwing the P0507 ISC SYSTEM DTC.

Take her into your dealer and have an idle relearn performed. It doesn't take long, they shouldn't charge you more than an hour of labor. ~$100.

And why didn't you replace the chains/tensioners/and guides? You can do it with the motor in the car, takes a day or less if you know what you're doing.
