How much whp does a stock 04 6spd maxima have?

I have a 04 6spd with just a cold air intake.I know they come 265hp to the crank but i'm not sure about whp.I haven't done a dyno so i'm not sure what the car produces.

I intend to add a 3pc spacer kit, fully catback,BOP,y-pipe,timing advance, and a light weight crank pulley. How much power should I produce with the bolt on's,and how much whp should I expect?

I dyno'd my 05 6 speed with just a Fujita intake and it averaged 229whp on 3 pulls.

That's all.Wow I thought it would be more. What are you running on a 1/4 mile? Because the best I did was 15.5 on my 2nd time at the tracks.

5-7K is just for the turbo, and then you gotta do another 3-5K to build a good tranny that will support all that power, then you gotta rebuild your engine.

That's too much money to invest in a car that I drive 90km a day to and from work.A V6 turbocharge driving that much means i'll be living at the pumps.

I really couldn't tell you about the 6.5gens, especially when they only come in auto. I'd assume they produce the same power. Maybe the seniors can answer that for you

Nitros is illegal up here and if you get caught with it you'll be fined and if your insurance was to know of that mod they will automatically put you in a high risk category or cancel your policy.

So for that reason I just want the bolt on that can't be seen. I'm not building a race car, I just want it to stand out from the rest

Most cars have roughly a 15% drivetrain loss between crank hp and wheel hp. Automatics generaly dyno lower than standard transmission and so far there's no accurate way to dyno a car with a CVT transmission.

I've never run a 1/4th mile, closest one is a few hours away. My best 1/8th mile time is in my sig. In the 1/4th mile that would equate out to a low 14 second run.

6th gen and 6.5 have the same hp numbers, the decrease is due to the way hp numbers are calculated.

Maybe it has a lot to do with the wear on the engine, because i've seen youtube videos with the 6thgen vs the 6.5gen and the 6.5gen beat the 6thgen off the start but after 120ish km/h the 6thgen started gaining.

It's really hard to say which one has more because the race was between two automatic cars.Maybe if it was a 6spd the outcome would be different

I never even got to race one. They don't modify those cars over here. They just put some rims, tint and ugly chrome grill and that's it.

This model cannot handle more power; the transmission is too weak for what it has any way. What is it with modern cars and transmissions... I wanted an acura TL; same problem. I bought this only because it was cheap and had awesome power. But now the transmission is going. I think my next car will be a G35

One of the clearer explainations here. http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=589568

And it has been covered here many times over the years.

Don't give me wrong. I get what you all are saying. I don't intend to go all out on the performance. I don't intend to do any weight reduction but I do want it to do early 14's or late 13's and i'll be happy with it.

It's my all purpose car. I go to work with it every day, I go to car shows, and I take it to the tracks. I'm not moding it up too much that it spends most of the time in the garage. I just want it to stand out from the ones I past on the streets

Lol.I use to be a fan of the infiniti and i'm slowly loosing faith in the 350Z especially since i've seen an accord owned a Z.My boy got a 04 altima with bolt on's and He kills them 350Z.

Especially if it's an automatic, boring I'll stay with my maxima for now

Exactly and you have a back seat. Complete win bro. I smoke 350z like nothing, even the manual ones. They look fast but that's it. I love the sleeper kind we have.

I can't wait till next spring when I slap on all them bolt on's and take the car to the tracks.Like i'll be laughing if I beat one of those infiniti of Z. My boy gets under-estimated all the time when he race them.

They usually laugh at him but he always kills them.
