My sunroof had been working intermittently, when it finally stopped (while tilted up, of course). I can hear what I believe is the relay click when I press the "Up" button and when I move the slider to any position except fully closed. I tried to reset the motor by holding the "Up" and "Down" buttons a few times for anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds, but that didn't help.

Has anyone here experienced this?

Where is the clicking noise coming from? Could be the relay or sunroof motor that is faulty.

 

i had a sunroof motor get stuck when it hit the limit and didn't have enough power to move back into position. I rotated the motor manual with the allen wrench and its been working fine ever since. I believe you need to remove the head console to get to the sunroof motor.

 

Thanks for the tip nsnrider. I need to look into that. Do I need to disassemble anything to use the allen wrench? I ran across the following post that applies to 5th gens. Do I need to follow those same steps?

PS - I also ran across these instructions. I don't know if I'd ever go as far as step 1.

 

The instructions for the 5.5 gen Max were pretty close. I was able to slide the sunroof all the way forward, just in time to beat the rain this afternoon. It's still slightly lower in back, so that part isn't flush with the roof. Those instructions mention some "triangle shaped pieces", but I'm not quite sure what that refers to. Anyone?
