ABS Sensor Help

I do not own a Maxima, but have a serious question for you all. I was doing the front wheel bearings on an 05 Maxima. I finished the job and bolted everything back up, but when it came to the ABS sensors they would not fit. the abs sensor base is round, however the spindle is more of a "D" shape hole. I am assuming I am missing a piece, but it was to late to get parts from any of the vendors. can anyone confirm that there is a piece that the abs sensor goes into, that then goes into the spindle such as a sensor spacer.

Thanks

edit: unfortunately this was the last car i had to do tonight so i just started breaking it down. i saw the 10mm bolt, removed, and moved the sensor out of my way. i wish i had taken a better look before the tear down.
